Bountiful home sales decreased 29.41% from 17 homes sold in February 2009 to 12 homes sold in February 2010. As to the home prices, it dropped 26.43% from $262,000 median sold price in February 2009 to $192,750 median sold price in February 2010. All homes sold in February this year had an original list price of $204,950, in February last year homes sold original list price was $299,900.

The median dollar per square foot price dropped from $91.48 in December 2009, $89.50 in January 2010 and $79.20 in February. The median dollar per square feet size of all the homes sold February this year was 2,310. The average of these homes sold had four bedrooms and three baths.

The number of active listings in the market of Bountiful increased from 226 active listings and 20 homes under contract to 244 active listings and 28 homes under contract.  

As the expiration date of the first time home buyer tax is fast approaching, we’ll see if there would be a considerable increase in the buyers activity of Bountiful real estate.
