With most states posting healthy gains in home sales in the first quarter of 2100, a growing number of metropolitan areas experienced price gains from a year ago, according to NAR’s last survey. Ninety-one out of 152 metropolitan statistical areas showed higher median existing single-family home prices compared to the first quarter of 2009, including 29 with double-digit increases. In the fourth quarter, 67 areas reported gains, and only 30 areas posted increases in the third quarter. Click here to learn more.
