According to the New York Times published report yesterday, the Obama Administration was trying to implement new housing program that will ease or might end up the foreclosure problem of the country. This new program to be implemented will allow homeowners who are not capable of paying their mortgage anymore to sell their property to less of what they owe and will give them a little cash to speed them on their way.

As of now there are about five million homes are in danger to be foreclosed. The government housing aid program of $75 million dollars mortgage modification plan only covers small number of these households that are at risk to benefits. The program will officially be started on the 5th of April, and expected to rescued those remaining households who didn't make in Federal mortgage modification program.

In this new Federal program, real estate agents will have a huge part as they will be needed by the lenders to assess the value of a certain property and its minimum acceptable offer. The lender must accept the offer that is equal or higher than with that amount.
