Emerald Monkey is an eco-friendly luxury resort on an island off Panama Caribbean coast.

Emerald Monkey is fully committed to providing a "live fully, tread lightly" environment where every detail has been carefully considered:
- no plastic bottle on the island! Each guest will be provided with an eco-friendly, refillable aluminum water bottle
- "green" electricity from a hydro-powered plant
- biomass waste treatment system (the emission is water safe for irrigation)
- community pools with filtered ocean saltwater to minimize power consumption and be chemical free
- drinking water will be piped to the island directly from the Panamanian mountains
- all villa structure materials are from sustainable sources
- solar powered golf carts are the ONLY means of transport on the island
- organic fruit and vegetable farm as well as a “flutter farm” (butterfly breeding farm)

A Chief Conscience Officer has been appointed to look at all areas where improvements can be made in terms of environment and social responsibility. A botanist is also maximizing the benefits of natural plants on the resort!
