I am amazed by the confused and bias approach I find a lot of international REALTORS® have toward TRC. Let alone that very few know that NAR has a "Global" arm in forms of Committees and groups, but ICREA, TRC ... etc seems to them something very distant and hard to comprehend.

I have been manning the International Pavilion at the CAR Fall EXPO in San Jose last month, and I found out that even though 100% of the REALTORS® that approached out table were not aware of "international" trainings, classes and designations, but were very eager to hear about it (from a knowledgeable person), and I have even generated a few students for our next TRC class from these encounters.

I take so much pleasure when, during my TRC class, I enlighten the students with creative ways to tap into secret resources of international networking LOCALY! I have not found a similar course anywhere.

The 2 California RE Associations that have VERY strong Global Committees (Arcadia Association of REALTORS® and South Bay Association of REALTORS®) lead the State in international real estate affairs; yet, I have found very few REALTORS® that can clearly and effectively communicate the hierarchy of global real estate associations and the values of TRC.

In closing, REALTORS® are independent contractors who daily choose what training they are going to take and what new designations they will add to their names. Whether they will become a member of some trade association to reap the benefits of networking or become a TRC to insure their referral fees are paid out, most of the REALTORS® I have spoken with seem unwilling to take the TRC "because NAR does not support it", and to know that this statement is a result of lack of knowledge and understanding is a shame!

We as TRC instructors, and all TRCs, need to work on getting down our communication regarding these definitions clear and simple, so ALL REALTORS® that do business internationally get the same opportunity to use ALL tools available to better our business, be it NAR Global, RealEstateConnections.TV, …. or TRC and WorldProperties.com

For details on the TRC Course on the 20th click on the TRC logo above, or go to

I am seeking a mentor in commercial and international real estate. Have over four years residential experience and have just began to venture into the commercial and international arena. I am CIIIS, CBC and CBB certified and slated to attend the next Emerging Brokers Training in January 2011. I do, however, want to get started and be well on my way to my first or subsequent deal before 2011. I welcome your help.

Marvis, glad to see your message. Hope other members read it as well. Sorry it took me a while to respond. Just got back from almost 2 months in Europe. I am currently very busy with a number of projects that are pretty time-sensitive, but would like to help as much as I can. Ask me whatever comes to mind and lets see how we work it out. Please use nick@myrealestateHQ.com for this purpose. Thanks.

When you hear the word “value”, what is your first thought? Given the declining value of the dollar and real estate prices in the U.S., you might think of the negative connotations. Instead, think on the positive side – the U.S. real estate market is the most valuable buy in the world. Are you taking advantage of it?

Homes, Commercial and Income property as well as Business Opportunities of all sizes and types in the United States are on sale to the world with’ decreased median prices and the dollar depreciating against other currencies. The market of foreign buyers is large, eager to buy, and yet remains an untapped resource. Prominence Capital Advisors LLC offers the education, research and resources clients need to globalize their network and diversify their investments. If you are a real estate or business investor ready to navigate the international landscape but don’t know where to start, let us be your guide.

The 2009 NAR Convention and EXPO, San Diego. This was a great place to meet real estate professionals from all over the world. THE place to see how NAR Global Business Alliance (and CIPS and ICREA) works.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS! May it be filed with health, wealth, love and prosperity. The US market is getting ripe for the foreign investments in the Commercial Real Estate and BizOps fields. Do not miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire commercial distressed property at bargain prices and/or line up your ducks for the immigration-through-investment process. Thanks for the support and please do not hesitate to post comments, ideas, thoughts, ... etc. I look forward to doing business with you in 2010. Let's shake that money tree together!

We have just returned from San Jose were we helped CAR host the first International Forum Pavilion during the CAR 2009 Expo. A great number of people showed up curious to know how to successfully complete international RE transactions. I personally hosted the forum on Bosnia, The Croatian Coast and Central and Eastern Europe. It was a huge success.

Now we are shooting for the Big One: The NAR International Conference in San Diego. A lot of preparation since our Association is hosting the delegation from Austria. Hope to see a number of you in SD on the International Night Out.
